Bagi peminat fizikal emas yang berhasrat membuat simpanan masa hadapan di dalam bentuk fizikal emas secara halal, Alhamadulillah kali ini mereka telah mempunyai jalan. Sebuah bank Islam dengan jayanya telah berjaya melancarkan Akaun simpanan dan pelaburan emas mereka yang telah juga disahkan dari sudut kontrak dan operasinya mematuhi hukum Shariah.
Akaun ini sesungguhnya boleh berfungsi sebagai simpanan untuk masa hadapan atau juga pelaburan di waktu memerlukan. Ia amat baik khususnya bagi mereka yang ingin menjauhkan diri dari masalah turun naik nilai matawang kertas. Namun begitu, perlu difahami, harga dan nilai emas juga boleh turun naik, cuma ia tidaklah sebegitu bermasalah seperti matawang kertas.
Kalau sebelum ini, mereka yang mengambil berat akan hukum Shariah, berada di dalam dilemma kerana hanya mempunyai pilihan akaun emas yang di punyai oleh Public Bank dan Maybank, yang mana kedua-duanya di bawah pengurusan konvensional tanpa kelulusan mana-mana majlis Shariah. Selain dari kedua-dua itu, hampir semua akaun dan pelaburan emas yang lain hanya dilaksanakan oleh syarikat persendirian yang sebahagiannya tidak dapat dipastikan tahap keselamatan dan kesahihan syarikat terbabit.
Saya telah menulis berkenaan akaun emas Public Bank & Maybank di sini .
Namun kali ini, saya kira, perbankan Islam di Malaysia melalui Kuwait Finance House telah dengan jayanya mengubat kekosongan tersebut. Melalui akaun terbabit, pelanggan boleh membeli emas fizikal, dan boleh menyimpan atau terus mengambil sendiri fizikal emas.
Perlu diingat, segala pertimbangan dan kira-kira untung rugi perlulah dikaji dan diambil kira sebelum membuka akaun ini. Tulisan saya hanyalah mencadangkan akaun apabila DI LIHAT DARI SUDUT HUKUM SHARIAH sahaja dan bukan dari sudut kebolehuntungan dan pertimbangan kira-kira kewangan, kerana di Malaysia, sebarang nasihat dalam hal kebolehuntungan produk kewangan dan sepertinya memerlukan individu terbabit mempunyai lesen khas perunding kewangan.

What is the Shariah Concept used?
The Shariah concept used are Ba'i As-Sarf and Qardh Hasan. Ba'i As-Sarf refers to the exchange ot one monetary form for another in the same or different form i.e. gold for gold coins, silver for silver, silver for gold etc. Qardh refers to benevolent loan whereby the Bank as the borrower only required to repay the principal borrowed

or sell at the Bank's purchase price of gold

1. | What is KFH Gold Account-i ? KFH Gold Account-i is an account that allows customers to invest in gold in a convenient, secure and cheaper way without having to keep the gold physically and can start investing from as low as 10 grams of gold. |

4. | How can I benefit from Gold Account ? The gold invested in this scheme will be subjected to the movement of gold price in the gold market. Therefore you may sell your gold when there is an increase in price, higher than your purchase price and the difference will be your profit. |
5. | Can I deposit the physical gold into my Gold Account ? No, you can only purchase the gold (deposit into gold account) by debit from your current or savings account with KFHMB. |
6. | Will there be a statement to be sent to me ? Yes, a quarterly statement will be sent to the customer and a transaction slip will be issued for every purchase or sale of gold. |
7. | Can I close my account at anytime ? Yes, you may close your account at any time. |
8. | Can I make a withdrawal through ATM ? No, you can only withdraw (sell the gold) over the counter at the domicile branch. |
9. | What are the main advantages ? The main advantages would be : - Convenience, secured and cheaper - Customer can invest in small amounts at a time i.e. minimum of 10 grams (for individual) - Opportunity for capital gain if the gold price appreciates - Invest in gold without having to keep the physical gold. |
10. | Is there a minimum hold balance required? Yes, the minimum holding is 2 grams. |
11. | When is the right time to purchase gold ? The right time would be when the gold price is considered low based on the fluctuation of the gold price trend. However, customers are to make their own final decision. |
